Problem Note 44056: "A snapshot cannot be created due to errors in the XML output" when attempting to create a snapshot of a report in SAS® Enterprise Guide®

DetailsAboutRate It

Beginning with version 4.3, SAS Enterprise Guide enables you to open SAS Web Report Studio reports. If you right-click on the report icon in the Process Flow, you see the menu option Create a Report Snapshot.

The presence of this option is a defect. Although you can create a report snapshot of SAS Report output generated by SAS Enterprise Guide, you cannot create a report snapshot from an opened SAS Web Report Studio report. If you select the option, you will see the following error:

A snapshot cannot be created due to errors in the XML output.
