Beginning with version 4.3, SAS Enterprise Guide enables you to open SAS Web Report Studio reports. If you right-click on the report icon in the Process Flow, you see the menu option Create a Report Snapshot.
The presence of this option is a defect. Although you can create a report snapshot of SAS Report output generated by SAS Enterprise Guide, you cannot create a report snapshot from an opened SAS Web Report Studio report. If you select the option, you will see the following error:
A snapshot cannot be created due to errors in the XML output. -------------------------------------------------------- Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\SAS\EnterpriseGuide\4.3\data\TABLE_DATA_11182010144231980_0_0.xml'. ------------------------------ Technical Information Follows ------------------------------ System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\SAS\EnterpriseGuide\4.3\data\TABLE_DATA_11182010144231980_0_0.xml'. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access) at SAS.Report.Models.XML.XMLSASReport.GetIncludeSASReport(String fileName, String fragment) at SAS.Report.Models.XML.XMLSASReport.UpDateData(SASReport sasReport) at SAS.Report.Models.XML.XMLSASReport.LoadElement(ReportElement parent) at SAS.Report.Models.XML.XMLParse.CreateDOM(Stream file, String fragment, Hashtable customObjectMap) at SAS.Report.Models.XML.XML.ReadReport(Stream inputStream, Hashtable customObjectMap) at SAS.Report.Models.XML.XML.ReadReport(FileInfo file, Hashtable customObjectMap, String prefixUniqueId) at SAS.Report.Models.XML.XML.ReadReport(String filename, Hashtable customObjectMap) at SAS.Report.Viewer.SASReportView.UpdateTimeStamp(String reportFileName) at SAS.EG.ProjectElements.ReportBuilderElement.CreateSnapshotFromFile(Element element) at SAS.EG.SEGuide.MainForm.CreateReportSnapshot(Element element) ------------------------------ End of Technical Information ------------------------------
You can export the report as PDF or as an HTML file.
The Create a Report Snapshot option is removed in the next major release.
